Notice: Membership of the Montague Gardens – Marconi Beam Improvement District (MMID) – 6 December 2017
Dear Property Owner – Montague Gardens and Marconi Beam
The Montague Gardens-Marconi Beam Improvement District is required to hold a Special General Meeting (SGM) within the first six months of its establishment. The SGM will be held on the 6th of December 2017.
To become a member, you must complete a membership form and submit it to the MMID office by the 29th November 2017.
Membership of the MMID is open to all property owners who are encouraged to apply for membership so that they can exercise their rights to influence the business of the MMID.
Membership cannot be denied and the property owner is then entitled to attend, participate and vote at the members meetings held under the auspices of the Companies Act.
Should a member be unable to attend a meeting, they may give another individual their proxy to attend and vote on their behalf. Non-members may attend and participate but cannot vote and as such will have limited influence on the CID activities.
The implementation plan and the proposed budget for the period 2018/2019 will be approved at the meeting. KIndly study the documents prior to the meeting and forward any questions you might have to the MMID office so that they can be properly addressed at the meeting.
The MMID is a non-profit company that was officially established on the 1st of July 2017. The MMID is a Special Ratings Area (SRA) established in terms of Section 22 of the Municipal Property Rates Act (MPRA), the Municipal Finance Management Act (MFMA), and Section 21 of the Companies Act, the SA Constitution, and the Cape Town’s City Improvement District By-law of 2004.
